A bit about us

We're an independent store in the historic town of Sandwich in Kent. We love what we do and we're lucky enough to work with a really brilliant, friendly team.

We opened our first shop for childrenwear, home and gifts in Market Street in 2018. In 2022 we expanded into womenswear, just around the corner at 4 Delf Street.

Effie McLean is independent; which means we take time to carefully select every single item we sell in store. We hope you enjoy the mix of goods we put together.

In case you wondered, Effie McLean is the name of our Great Great Aunt, from Glasgow. She brought comfort and joy to the family and we hope you feel the same when you visit us.

Our opening hours are 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday. We have a bigger selection in store than online, so if you get the chance to visit in person please do, we’d love to see you! We know that’s not always possible though so please shop online if it suits you better. We send parcels tracked by Royal Mail. Our click and collect service is also available if you're local or in a rush!
