We opened our first shop in Market Street, Sandwich in 2018. Despite coming from a family of shopkeepers it took us a while to take the plunge into retail, but we're so glad we did. The local community is fantastic and we’ve been made to feel really welcome.

Effie McLean is independent; which means we take time to carefully source every item we sell in store. In 2022 we expanded the business into womenswear at 4 Delf Street.

In case you wondered, Effie Mclean is the name of our Great Great Aunt, from Glasgow. She brought comfort and joy to the family and we hope you feel the same when you visit us.
